Happy Financial
Independence Day!!!!!! Any day
that you pay off debt is Your
Independence Day. You no longer
depend on the mailman to deliver
that bill, friendly reminder,
or late fee notice.
Financial Peace University works
if you work it. So many are discouraged
because Baby Step 2 takes a while
to complete. We have a family
who has not only paid off all
consumer debt but on this Independence
Day, July 04, 2008, has made the
final payment on their house to
turn it into a home (Baby Step
6). Imagine with us for a moment,
NO MORTGAGE. It is possible and
together we can do it.
Here is part of
their story:
The original term
of their loan was 30 years (sound
familiar). In late 2003, they
refinanced to a 10 year mortgage.
After thirteen and a half years,
the house is a PAID IN FULL HOME
:-). The husband stated, "Had
I known about Dave, could have
done it in half that!" Their
final payment was $18,500! Yes,
$18.5K. They just "Couldn't
take it anymore!"
With a Fully Funded
Emergency Fund (3 - 6 months of
expenses) still in effect with
immediate increase still ahead,
they feel great. Unbelievable.
Not so it is truly believable
because God's desire is for His
children to be debt Free. It will
take some time for them to realize
that they did it because after
making a mortgage payment for
more than a decade, it takes time
to come to grips with no longer
stroking that type of check.
On July 04, 2008,
Independence Day for America,
Financial Independence for a family
who realized where they were,
realized what God destined for
them, saw where they could and
should be and as the Gazelle so
brilliantly does, CHASED THE CHEETAH
and WON!!!!!
FFFFFFFFFRRRRRRRRRRRRRRREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEDDDDDDOOOOOOOOOOOM
:-)!
This is a joy the
world didn't give and surely can't
take away.
